I have been using a lot of different IWB holsters for the past few years. Most of them are priced higher than the Concealment Express IWB Kydex.
So, I thought it would be worth reviewing this holster for those who want something in the budget.
My opinion: Concealment Express is worth purchasing for everyday carry! The Kydex is definitely a game changer when it comes to fit and durability.
Why Use Concealment Express Kydex IWB Holster?
If you go on searching IWB holsters, you will be forced to pay around the $100 or over range. The Concealment Express Kydex is a budget holster for that matter.

The only thing that will prompt you to buy a higher priced holster than this one is when you want to tuck your t-shirt or want to carry an extra magazine. Because, with the Concealment Express, you can’t tuck in or carry an extra magazine.
Other than that, this is a holster for everyone!
Material & Construction
To be Kydex is the ultimate material for holster construction. For those of you used to wearing leather holsters, Kydex can really change your view.

The Concealment Express is made from 0,08” Kydex. So, it’s a lot thinner than other leather holsters in the market. Previously, I believed Kydex to be stiff and uncomfortable. However, it’s the opposite and the slim profile really makes it unobtrusive and comfortable. So, it’s thin enough for concealment and thick enough to hold your gun securely.
The fact that these holsters are completely made in the USA is another top selling point. You are assured of the quality and workmanship behind the making.
It has a shield that comes up to cover the sights in the side of the gun to protect your skin and undershirt from being destroyed and to protect the gun from your sweat. On top, there’s a raised channel for your front sight to clear, so it doesn’t hang up and interfere with the draw. As for the trigger, it remains totally covered and the chances of discharge are zero.
I also looked at a few complaints regarding the excess kydex at the bottom. Some users found this to be a bit obtrusive. I think it’s a bit common with a budget friendly holster. But I don’t think it will cause any discomfort.
Fit & Holster Location
As for the fit of the holster on your body, you will need to use the single belt clip. I found the belt clip to be secured and quick to remove. So, it helps to holster the gun first into whatever position you like and then clip it onto the belt.
For the clip to work properly, I recommend using a one and half inch belt. As far as I believe, you will also be able to get a clip that fits inch and three quarters belts.

The holster can be carried appendix, hip and small of back. However, I found it worked best in the 3-9’Oclock position. The appendix location can be a bit uncomfortable when sitting or bending down. As for the draw, it comes in both left and right draw.
The good news is the Concealment Express IWB holster is claw compatible. You can get the claw kit to eliminate printing further as it will help to angle the butt of your gun towards your body. Overall, this is a great holster for concealed carry.
Holstering and unholstering both are super easy with this holster. You can carry it with you even when you are driving or sitting anywhere.
Compatibility with Guns
I use the LCP custom for this holster and it fits perfectly without obstructing its taller sights. Bear in mind, this is a custom holster and so you can get it for almost all kinds of guns.
Here’s a short of gun models this holster will fit: Beretta, Bersa Thunder, Canik, Glock, Kimber, Ruger models, S&W, Sig Sauer, Springfield, Taurus, Walther, Kahr, Jericho, H&K, 1911 (Office, Commander & Government).
Many of you might have questions about whether it will fit with an integrated laser. I’m not really sure about that. However, I have seen people use the M&P Shield 2.0 with a red laser without issues.
Retention and Cant
The holster’s cant can be changed using the screws near the belt clip. You will need a phillips head screwdriver in order to do that.

The cant angle can be changed from 0-15 degrees and to a negative 5 degrees. The stock configuration is acceptable and I think most users won’t have to reconfigure it. You can’t change the ride height, but when you set the cant ti 0 degrees, the gun can raise 1/4 inch. And that’s just it.
As for retention, I really love what the Concealment Express IWB Kydex offers. Whenever you holster the gun, there’s a posi-click sound and that ensures that the gun is properly holstered. There’s a slight in and out movement of the gun after it has been locked in. However, it’s negligible enough to discard the effect.
The good thing is you can easily adjust the retention pressure by adjusting the black oxide steel screws forward of the trigger guard. So, you can either make the retention a lot more tight and hard or more flexible. I love it tight and hard and keep my mind at peace. Compared to other high end holsters, the retention adjustments aren’t super fine tune capable. But it gets the job done!
Life Span & Maintenance
The holster had held up pretty well for the past few months and looking at the conditions, I guess it’s in for a long run. The clip is equally strong and might also last a long time.
The Kydex material is water resistant and it doesn’t suck up oils or moisture from the skin. So, you can get away without cleaning it. However, if you want you can clean it thoroughly with soap and water!
Variation of the Concealment Express IWB Kydex Holster
This Concealment Express holster also comes in carbon fiber imprint. It’s basically the same thing with the same material, clip and cant angle. Just the carbon fiber imprint looks cool and adds a bit of style to the holster.

Final Verdict
So, who should get this holster? Anyone who likes to carry IWB and also looking for something in the budget should find it useful. You will need to wear your shirt or t-shirt freely which is untucked for this holster to remain concealed. The fact that it’s a custom holster that can fit with a variety of guns in the market is a deal maker!
